American Society of Plastic Surgeons. Dr. Mehmet Sürmeli will serve on both committees for the 2027 term, beginning October 2026.

The American Society of Plastic Surgeons is a professional body of board-certified plastic surgeons. Its committees are working groups — each one carries the Society’s work in one area of the specialty through the year.

The 2027 term runs from 19 October 2026 to 19 September 2027. Members apply, and appointments are made by the Society.

This follows service on the ASPS Patient Safety Committee in 2024 and 2025, and on the PSF Volunteers in Plastic Surgery Steering Committee from 2022 to 2025.
